There was a time when Hungarian buses traversed the Sahara where Mercedes buses had broken down

Sixty years ago, a caravan of Hungarian-made buses and trucks travelled 20,000 kilometres across western Africa, to show off the products of the Hungarian automotive industry with the goal of boosting sales.
