We obtained the new Russian history textbook – it really says that fighters of former fascist units were behind Hungary’s 1956 revolution

The Russian embassy denied it, but the published book confirms that Moscow has returned to the Soviet interpretation of the Hungarian revolution of 1956. Starting today, all Russian 11th-graders will be taught from a new history textbook that literally says that the 1956 revolution was fought by fighters from the military formations of former fascist Hungary, helped by Western secret services.
